A NOTE FROM JENNIFER
Hello to my Rosebuds!
Transitional times can be challenging, as we iron out the wrinkles in the changing schedule, needs, and expectations of the new season. REMEDIES FOR DEALING WITH CHANGE (continued)TWO UPCOMING PROTOCOL COURSESBLOG, SOCIALS & USEFUL LINKS
If you’ve taken a Gateway course with me, you know that Ignatia 30c can be life-giving in times of change, especially when the changes involve a sense of loss or any feelings of overwhelm. Certainly the start of a new school year, with the potential drama of reconnecting with friends (and enemies) from the previous academic year can take a toll on our kids’ emotions – and ours as parents also! There’s also a sense of loss when we send our kids off to school after a fun summer at home, even if “off to school” is just to the homeschool books in the kitchen. It’s not a bad idea to have some Ignatia on hand for those moments when emotions are “big” no matter the size of the person feeling them.
Another very helpful remedy for periods of change is Gelsemium 30c, a superhero rescue remedy for anticipatory anxiety, especially the kind that makes a person sick to their stomach. When taken before a difficult test, performance, or presentation, this remedy has the potential to change the outcome by helping the body redirect its energy from “run to the bathroom” to “rise to the occasion.”
If you haven’t yet taken a Gateway class, let me know and we can fix that. Believe me, it will change your perspective.

A HOMEOPATHY WIN!
My daughter got in touch yesterday with an emergency request – one of her housemates had accidentally swallowed a bee and it stung him ON THE TONSIL! He isn’t allergic to bee stings, but his throat was very painful and swollen. Fortunately he has an emergency homeopathy kit in his car (which I would recommend for everyone). He took a dose of Apis mellifica 1M right away, and another about an hour later when he felt the pain beginning to increase again. The swelling and extreme pain stopped, but the area continued to be pretty tender, and when he got home yesterday evening my daughter suggested Aconitum 200c because of the shocking nature of the experience, and Belladonna 30c because the back of his throat was very red and painful. He took two doses about 30 minutes apart and fell asleep on the couch. Talking had been very uncomfortable, but when he woke up later, he had a normal conversation, played a video game, and went to bed i his room. Today he was able to report to work with no problems.
